LOWER SILESIA
Castles, mountains, and spa towns.
Karkonosze, the Table Mountains, Wrocław, and dozens of castles. The region with the most diverse landscape in Poland.
Land of a Hundred Castles
Lower Silesia is Poland's most castle-rich region. Książ, Czocha, Bolczów, Chojnik — hundreds of strongholds scattered across the Sudeten hills, many preserved in excellent shape.
Add to this the spa towns — Kudowa-Zdrój, Szczawno-Zdrój, Lądek-Zdrój — and the country's oldest cities, where history interweaves with everyday life.
Wrocław and the Mountains
Wrocław, the region's capital, is a city of a hundred bridges and islands on the Oder. Perfect for a slow weekend — with coffee in Nadodrze and a morning walk through Ostrów Tumski.
The Karkonosze offer dramatic views and mountain huts where time flows slower. The Table Mountains delight with rock labyrinths, and Barycz boasts Europe's largest carp ponds.
