WEST POMERANIA
Lagoon, forests, and wild coast.
Szczecin, Świnoujście, Wolin, Drawa Forest. A region where the Baltic meets wild nature.
The Baltic and the Szczecin Lagoon
West Pomerania is Poland's westernmost region. The Szczecin Lagoon, Wolin Island, the coast from Świnoujście to Darłowo — all places where the sea meets wild nature.
Wolin National Park protects cliffs, bison, and the most beautiful fragments of the coastal forest. The lighthouse in Świnoujście is the tallest in Poland — worth the climb.
Forests and Rivers
Drawa Forest and Drawa National Park are among the wildest places in Poland. Pine woods, rushing streams, beavers — perfect for multi-day kayak trips.
Szczecin, the region's capital, is a city where you should see the Chrobry Embankment, the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle, and the wine district. All at a slow pace.
