GREATER POLAND

The cradle of Poland and lakes hidden in pine forests.

Poznań, Notecka Forest, Wielkopolski National Park. The region where Poland was born.

The Cradle of Poland

Greater Poland is the region where Poland was born. In Gniezno the first kings were crowned, in Poznań beats the region's heart, and in Kórnik and Rogalin you can see the most beautiful palaces of Greater Poland.

Slow travel in Greater Poland means walking through the market squares of small towns, coffee in Jeżyce, a visit to a rogale bakery, and slowly discovering a region that combines tradition with modernity.

Notecka Forest and the Lakes

Notecka Forest is one of the largest forest complexes in Poland — over 1,000 km² of pines, dunes, and hidden lakes. Perfect for cycling trips and bivouacs far from civilization.

Greater Poland also has hundreds of glacial lakes — Sieraków, Międzychód, Chrzypsko. All quiet, clean, and ready for a slow weekend by the water.
