SILESIA
The Beskids, industry, and Jura castles.
A region of contrasts — from mountain trails to industrial heritage and the largest concentration of castles in Poland.
A Region of Contrasts
Silesia is Poland's most industrial region — and at the same time one of the most mountainous. The Silesian Beskids, Żywiec Beskids, Little Beskids — all within one voivodeship.
Beside mines and steelworks, the most beautiful mountain trails, wooden churches, and pastoral traditions have survived for centuries.
Jura and Castles
The Kraków-Częstochowa Jura is a limestone plateau with white rocks, caves, and castle ruins. Ogrodzieniec, Ojców, Pieskowa Skała — all within 50 kilometers.
Pszczyna, Cieszyn, Tarnowskie Góry, Bielsko-Biała — cities where Silesian history meets modern Poland. Worth discovering slowly, one per day.
