HOLY CROSS REGION

Europe's oldest mountains and stone fields.

Holy Cross Mountains, Sandomierz, Krzemionki. A region where nature and archaeology meet.

The Oldest Mountains

The Holy Cross Mountains are among the oldest mountains in Europe — over 500 million years old. Today they are gentle hills with quartzite stone fields, beech forests, and Poland's oldest sanctuaries.

Łysica, Łysa Góra, Holy Cross — all places where history interweaves with legend. Slow travel here means walks in the forest, swimming in rivers, and lunches in local taverns.

Sandomierz and Krzemionki

Sandomierz — a royal town on seven hills, with a Gothic town hall, medieval walls, and the most beautiful ravine in Poland. Perfect for a slow weekend.

Krzemionki Opatowskie is a Neolithic flint mine — one of the most important archaeological sites in Europe, inscribed on the UNESCO list. Worth visiting the underground route and the Neolithic village.
